Pool order confirmed

I received an email from national pool warehouse to confirm my dig spec and pool package. Every thing looked good so the pool should be here in a couple of weeks.

The weather is about 50 degrees right now but should start changing fast. By May it could be in the 90's. I want to build in the cool temperatures and be ready to swim as the temperature rises. I have planned for about 1 month of construction time taking Friday's and some Monday's off from work. I don't expect everything to be finished but I hope the pool will be usable after that.

While I am waiting for the pool to arrive I am doing some of the leg work and also preparing the site.  I have contacted the local electrician to help layout the underground power.  As the general contractor for this pool I plan to do as much of the work I can myself .  I have access to a backhoe so I have reserved it for the big dig after the pool arrives. I have also tapped my water line from the house, which will connect to a permanent water line to the pool for an automatic water make up system. I need to to put the water line underground since the ground occasionally freezes to about 24 inches deep in the winter.

I also put up some safety fence around the project area. This was mainly to let the neighbors know there was going to be a construction site here for a while. I applied for and received a building permit several months ago. I knew kinda where and what the pool was going to be. I turned in designs for something close and make the adjustments as they come. Our building inspectors are very reasonable to work with as long as there are no major above the grade changes.
